Ethanol Saving Nebraska Motorists Millions

In recent weeks, falling gas prices have captured the attention of Nebraska drivers. While lower crude oil prices account for some savings, the greater savings are from Nebraska-produced ethanol blended with sub-octane gasoline at the state’s fuel terminals.

Reaching Georgia fleet managers

Just recently, I learned about the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Roadshow. The basic goal of the roadshow is to educate fleet managers, city leaders and state legislators about alternative fuel vehicles. Since 2012 36 events have been held in Georgia, Tennessee and more are planned in other southeastern states. According to the website, “The mission of the Alternative Fueled Vehicle Roadshow is to serve the alternative energy economy, by advancing ideas about propane, natural gas, biofuels and electric vehicles which drive the transportation industry forward.”

Dr. Terry Klopfenstein Presented Award

Duane Kristensen of Chief Ethanol Fuels and Todd Sneller of the NEB present an award to Dr. Terry Klopfenstein in recognition of his many years of service to Nebraska ethanol and cattle producers. Terry and his colleagues from the University of Nebraska are nationally recognized for their pioneering work in advancing distillers feed products as a highly efficient livestock feed. The annual recognition award was presented by the Association of Nebraska Ethanol Producers at the March 19 legislative reception in Lincoln.

Syngenta Released a New Documentary

Syngenta recently released a new documentary video entitled “Ethanol: Fueling Rural America’s Future – One Community at a Time.” The video provides a platform for farmers, ethanol producers and industry advocates to share their passion for an industry critical to the future of agriculture and rural America. Syngenta developed the video to reinforce the ethanol industry’s positive impact on the U.S. economy and American energy independence. Ethanol production is a vital contributor to the national Gross Domestic Product, federal tax revenues, and the creation and support of new jobs across the country. Anew Travel Center Grand Opening in Cambridge

March 14, 2014

Anew Travel Center is now offering several ethanol fuel choices to Flex Fuel Vehicles and E15 is available for 2001 model year and newer vehicles. The Anew Travel Center’s Grand Opening will be held on March 19, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Customers will have the opportunity to save on E15, E30 and E85. The station is located at 41501 Harvest Drive in Cambridge, Nebraska.
